Transformative AI is expected to become a dominant political and societal issue within the next decade.

Adults aged 50-64 (Gen X) are now the only age cohort among US adults with a majority still more excited than concerned about AI.

“For the first time, a majority of adults under 30 say they're more concerned than excited about AI. Their concern is now on par with those in their 30s and 40s and those 65 and up. And so we have the only group still under is the 50 to 64 group. So the Gen Xers are still majority are still more excited than concerned.”

About 30% of Stripe's pull requests in the most recent week were created by Stripe Minions AI agents.

Corporate America and startups are adopting open-source AI as the safer strategic bet specifically to avoid vendor lock-in with large tech corporations.

“Open source is the safer bet for us. And that's what's happening in corporate America today and inside of startups.”

Bending Spoons is acquiring software companies, cutting 80% of staff, and making the remaining 20% AI-first employees to unlock existing revenue.

“They get rid of 80% of the employees and then put the 20% who are left as AI first employees and they figure out how to get all of this incredible revenue.”

Industrial AI will automate multiple hundred-billion- or trillion-dollar industries.

“I outlined what industrial AI is and where it's going over time, it's basically multiple like hundred billion or trillion dollar industries that are going to get automated.”

Fewer than 10% of enterprises have successfully deployed an agentic application.

“It may be that less than 10% of the enterprise has even deployed an agentic application successfully.”

Moonshot AI's Kimi K3 open-source model is now on par with top US frontier models like Claude Opus 4.8 and GPT-5.6, not 6 or 12 months behind, and is approximately 50% cheaper.

“China's Moonshot AI released Kimmy K3 open source model. Obviously performance on par on par not 6 months behind not 12 months behind but now on par with models like Opus 4.8 and GPT 5.6 six, which in and of itself is extraordinary, but about 50% cheaper.”

The widely-predicted 50% loss of white-collar jobs to AI has not materialized within the two-year window that was claimed.

“Everybody's saying 50% of white collar people are going to lose their jobs. Here we are two years later they said within [clears throat] two years and you know, employment still growing, people are hiring, we need more AI literate people.”

No predicted AI catastrophes, including mass cyber attacks or widespread job loss, have materialized so far.

“Nothing resembling this has happened yet.”
