A larger Arab party bloc in the Israeli election paradoxically hurts anti-Netanyahu chances: it shrinks the Eisenkot bloc, which is the only non-Netanyahu bloc large enough to push the opposition over 61 seats.

“The bigger the Arab party block is, the smaller the other two would be by simple math. And so in a sense, if they were tiny, both other blocks grow. And since Eisenhot's block is slightly bigger than or is actually bigger than Nathaniel's block in the polls, you'd expect him to then cross the 61 threshold.”

Israel's traditional security doctrine always favored short wars, but Netanyahu replaced it with an endless, broad war, marking a dramatic doctrinal break.

“An endless one and a deep change in the Israeli doctrine of security doctrine which has always favored short wars and has changed dramatically under Netanyahu.”

The 'precedent thesis' held that locking the current Israeli government into an agreement would bind or encourage future governments to go further. Netanyahu's rejection invalidated this logic.

Netanyahu's own aligned media outlet, Channel 14, attacked Trump and JD Vance after the US-Iran deal, showing pro-Netanyahu media can break sharply with the American president.

“Netanyahu will do nothing that will challenge his coalition because he wants that block to be his block in the next one.”

23% of Israeli opposition voters say they would consider emigrating if the current coalition wins re-election, versus only 6% of coalition voters.

“There's huge, you know, 23% of opposition bases have said that they consider immigrating should they lose. You know, amongst the coalition it's like 6%.”

Channel 14, Israel's Netanyahu-aligned broadcaster (compared to Newsmax), worth watching as a barometer of the Netanyahu bloc's shifting stance toward the Trump administration.
